What are we all trusting in?

Proverbs 3:5-6 (Amp)

“Trust in and rely confidently on the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all ways know and acknowledge and recognize Him, and He will make your paths straight and smooth [removing obstacles that block your way]

Message versions says “…do not try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go….do not assume that you know it all>”

What are we all trusting in? I have asked myself this question a lot these past few years. As James and I stepped out to begin our ministry, this has been a work in progress in my life in different ways. I have always trusted in God for many things but also kept control of somethings to myself. It is not until we are put in situations that our trust in God grows.

Here is an example of what I am speaking of. All of our children are adults now and I am not in control of their lives or decisions, but I have to pray and trust in God that He has them. There is nothing I can do, only what He can do. That is hard for this mamma bear, our children mean so much to me, as I am sure many of you that are reading this. We want the best for them but one thing is only God can bring that to them not this me.

Maybe this situation does not pertain to you but I am sure there are things you are not trusting God for or trying to keep control of when it belongs to God, fiancés, marriage, life choices, could be something I have not mentioned. The Bible clearly tells us to not rely on what we think we know or even our wisdom but to trust in God, listen to His voice in all things, do not assume we know it all and He will guide us!

My prayer for us is that our focus will go from problem to problem solver, from trusting in ourselves or money or wisdom to trusting in God and His provision and His wisdom. He can do all things, even the ones that seem impossible, just pray and ask Him today to help you lean on Him, to direct your path and your thoughts, He will do it!
