Today as I was reading I came upon a quote that has impacted and inspired my thinking and I wanted to share it with you.

If you can’t feed one hundred people, then feed just one. - Mother Theresa

As I begin to think about this profound and simple statement a question began to arise in my spirit: “Why do we always want to talk about what we can’t do, instead of doing what we can do?”

  • If you can’t bless 100 neighbors, then bless just one.

  • If you can’t help 100 children, then help just one.

  • If you can’t make 100 disciples, then make just one.

  • If you can’t encourage 100 pastors ,then encourage just one.

  • If you can’t share the gospel with 100 people, then share with just one.

  • If you can’t give 100 dollars, then give just one.

If we all started doing what we can do instead of talking about what we can’t do the world would be a much different place. Do what you can do instead of talking about what you can’t do.

What have you been thinking and saying that you can’t do? I challenge you today to stop focusing on what you can’t do, and begin doing what is in your power to do.

James 4:17 - Remember, it is sin to know what you ought to do and then not do it.

Until the nets are full,

James Grayson Jr.
