Transition

So much transition has been happening and here we are close to the end of the year and getting ready to step into a transition of a year.

I will not go into the amazing year 2020 has been, but I will say that God is not absent. He is doing things even if we can not see it.

Transition means change, transformation, leap and jump, just to name a few. My favorites are leap and jump. That is what God is saying to us.

“This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged..... Joshua 1:9a

Our family has just stepped out and not only transitioned where we live but have transitioned our ministry as well. We moved from Northern Va where the hustle and bustle of life is fun, exciting and full of traffic. Now we live in Alabama where the calmness of life and serenity is every where and the pace of life has slowed down, I am am still trying to slow down.

We have stepped out in faith, believing that this is the time that God has made for our family to encourage pastors, equip churches and establish hope.

Transition is not always easy and God has a way of showing us our strengths but also areas in our lives where we can grow. Let us take advantage of the rest of this month and give God permission to show us where we are fighting transition and open our hearts to the change that needs to be made in our lives.

As I unpack each box, God reminds me that there are so many things He has spoken to each and everyone of us that we have packed away, maybe forgotten and maybe to get out later. He is saying to us now that it is the time to open those promises, prophetic words and long lost dreams. Take them out, begin to dream again, begin to walk in change and transition.
